Let's sail through time, back to yesteryear and thank good ol' Cameron Crowe for giving us a reminder that the 70's was perhaps the greatest decade ever. And for giving us Penny Lane (although Betsy Heimann is responsible for her impeccable taste). 

She is free-spirited, radiates casual charm, and loves music more than air. That's why I'll definitely be channeling her as my spirit animal this summer. Just blaring Lynyrd Skynyrd, rocking crop tops, and dancing!

Montevallo Dreamin'

Today my roommate and I explored one of Alabama's hidden gems, Montevallo. It's a a small town east of Tuscaloosa with a population of about 6,000 people. We ate lunch at the most charming cafe called Eclipse Coffee & Books (their Nutella shake is amazing!!). Then, we hung out in Brierfield Ironworks State Park for the latter part of the day. It's a gorgeous camp ground with a creek! Of course, we couldn't end the day without hitting a few antique shops. My two best vinyl finds of the day: The Byrds Greatest Hits and Cat Stevens - Teaser and the Firecat.

So, if you ever find yourself meandering through east Alabama, go check out Montevallo!
